Fried Goat Cheese Balls
What You’ll Need
1 log of Goat Cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 tsp dried basil
S&P
Oil for frying (I used Avocado & coconut oil)
Honey to taste
Basil leaves for garnish (optional)
How to Make it
-Beat your eggs in one shallow bowl
-Mix your panko, dried basil, S&P together in another shallow bowl
-Take your goat cheese and break off about one ounce pieces (make smaller if you’d like) and roll into balls
-First coat each ball in your egg mixture and then your panko mixture, repeat to make them extra crispy
-Place coated balls in a large container and place in the freezer for 30 minutes
-Heat your oil in a pan to medium low heat
-Gently place each semi frozen ball into your hot oil and watch carefully, turning frequently to evenly crisp up each side
-Once crispy, place the fried balls onto a plate lined with paper towel to soak up excess oil
-Drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh basil
-Serve them immediately for best enjoyment
